All Over Austin

Thursday, May 9, 2013

This past weekend I took pictures of a lovely grad, Kate! We took pictures around the UT campus and a few at the stadium since Kate is graduating with a degree in Sports Management. Kate mentioned the albino squirrel as we were walking behind a building and against all odds, there it was sitting on a tree. It was great!

We also made our way to a beautiful view of downtown Austin from Town Lake, along with a small tower near the Congress Bridge. Kate was a joy to photograph and I cannot wait to see what she does in the future. Check out some pictures from her session below.

New Finds in Old Places

Saturday, May 4, 2013

Yesterday I took pictures for another grad, Chelsea. She was a delight to photograph and we had a blast exploring Austin for great locations. We started out on campus and ended up finding new locations besides the usual Littlefield Fountain and Tower. We also went to Town Lake and the Austin postcard. Below are how a few of the pictures turned out.

Rainy Days

Monday, April 22, 2013

Texas weather changes constantly so what started out as a bright, sunny day turned into slight, drizzling rain for the afternoon. Megan and I figured a little rain won't be too bad for the shoot. Turns out, the rainy sky actually made the pictures turn out great, who knew? We took some shots around campus in front of the Tower, Littlefield Fountain, and a few other places. Then we headed downtown to a park with a wonderful view on a hill and then a nice little tower with a neat gate and door. Here's how a few came out!

Near Graduation

Sunday, April 7, 2013

It's the season of senior pictures! I am beyond excited to photograph some great friends as they graduate in May from the University of Texas.

Kelley, Michelle, and Katie were great to work with! I cannot wait to see what they do after they graduate. Here's a few pictures from the shoot:

Stormy Skies

Friday, July 20, 2012

Differing from my usual scenery, I decided to switch it up this week by asking a friend of mine if we could do a shoot in Waxahachie. I have always wanted to photograph there but it just never worked out. Meet Maddie, a gorgeous girl who was super willing to give my ideas a shot--especially in this Texas weather. At first it was over 100 degrees, within an hour, there was a cool breeze, stormy skies, and much better pictures as a result. The shift in weather definitely helped the shoot because it differed from the usual blue skies, white clouds. I finally got to experiment a bit with various hand movements and as a result, I decided to only add contrast to them since the photographs already had vibrant colors. I hope you enjoy them! Happy Friday!

City Sights

Friday, June 1, 2012

Despite living next to Dallas my entire life, I have only explored downtown a handful of times. One of these times were with Bertha and Tiffany-- two best friends and recent high school graduates! These girls were wonderful to work with and have quite the eye for style. Downtown is filled with unique walls and buildings, which was perfect for shooting! The weather was a bit warm but it was great to have a change in scenery. Here's how a few of the pictures came out! Enjoy!
