This past week I also photographed Jake, a senior basketball player. It is amazing to see how a park I grew up playing and exploring at, became the setting of a successful photoshoot. This was the first shoot I did later in the evening and the lighting turned out great. Here are a few shots from the shoot--including my first action shots for a shoot. Enjoy!

Antique Suitcases
Ever since I went antiquing for the first time with my friend Mary, I fell in love. Old postcards in a small woven basket. Cowboy boots with visible wear and tear. Skeleton keys with the mystery of what they open. Endless opportunities can be found and obtained at antique shops and all the history behind a plain object such as a suitcase. I can spend hours just going from one section of the shop to the other--taking in the new decade that I walk into. I recently bought a suitcase from the 1940s and I absolutely love it. I have a smaller makeup suitcase that I have used in earlier photoshoots but this one is bigger, light brown, and has noticable wear. I used it in a shoot a few days after I bought it and cannot wait to buy more. This is Genesis, a senior who I took pictures of about a week ago. I took the pictures in Bishop Arts again and a nearby park. Check out the suitcases!
A Day in the Wooded Knoll
Thursday, May 10, 2012
This is a photoshoot that has been in the making for about two months but because of conflicting schedules was not shot until today. And I am so happy I shot these pictures. Megan is a natural! We went with a rustic natural scene with light blue attire to stand out from the scenery. Not only are Megan's eyes capturing but she knew exactly how to pose. This shoot was about thirty minutes long and suprisingly, done at school. The weather was warm and sunny and I really enjoyed this mini shoot. I experienced more with Photoshop and got a bit more creative with angles this time around. Enjoy!
Rustic Feel
Saturday, May 5, 2012
This past weekend I did a photoshoot for one of the most adorable girls ever. This is Jimena and her First Communion is coming up. She was absolutely darling. Never complaining and always smiling, she had such a good attitude with the warm weather. We shooted at Bishop Arts and a park nearby. We went for a rustic feel for the background and the vintage blue suitcase was the perfect touch to highlight the elegant white dress she wore. She was a joy to work with and her pictures came out great. Here are some of the shots from that afternoon. Enjoy!
